Kalidou Koulibaly says he is disappointed Maurizio Sarri will no longer be coaching Napoli but has backed him to be a success if the Italian moves to Chelsea.
Sarri has been linked with Chelsea for several months as a potential replacement for Antonio Conte, and a source told Sky Sports News on Tuesday his agent was in London to discuss a deal.
Napoli have replaced Sarri with Carlo Ancelotti, but the former Empoli coach is still contracted to the Serie A side and chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis is demanding compensation before he releases the 59-year-old.
Although a deal between Sarri and Chelsea has not been reached, Koulibaly said: "They [Chelsea] can expect nice football because he is a very good coach.
"I'm disappointed that he leaves like this but we have now a big coach [Carlo Ancelotti]. We know we can win something with him.
Hazard: Real know how to get me
"I hope he will win something with Chelsea because he's a nice coach. When a coach like this comes he needs time. So I think they have to give him time because he will change the football of Chelsea, I think.
"At Napoli we enjoyed it very much as players and the supporters enjoyed it very much. At Chelsea I think it will be the same."
