Wigan Athletic have been fined £12,500 for failing to ensure that no spectators or unauthorised persons encroached onto the pitch after their victory over Manchester City in the FA Cup.
Wigan's shock 1-0 win in the fifth round tie in February was followed by ugly scenes at the final whistle involving fans from both clubs.
A police investigation and an FA review were launched into the disorder in which striker Sergio Aguero clashed with supporters during a pitch invasion.
Aguero appeared to lash out at a supporter that encroached the pitch and objects including an advertising board were thrown at police and stewards from the stands.
Wigan have admitted the charge for the pitch invasion and were sanctioned following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing.
City had already been fined £50,000 for failing to ensure that their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion after surrounding referee Anthony Taylor following the first-half sending-off of Fabian Delph.
