Sunderland forward Duncan Watmore is set to be out for 10 months after suffering another suspected cruciate ligament injury.

Watmore was forced off in the 2-2 draw with Millwall on Saturday after picking up an injury to the same knee he damaged in December last year.

The 23-year-old is set to undergo surgery on Thursday if results of a scan are proved conclusive.
