Ronald Koeman says there is nothing to renewed speculation linking Everton with a move for England goalkeeper Joe Hart.

Everton were heavily linked with Hart over the summer when his Manchester City future first came into question - he would eventually sign for Serie A side Torino on a season-long loan.

Hart's long-term City prospects remain in question, with the league leaders signing Claudio Bravo for £17.1m to become their first choice, but there was no hint from Koeman that he would be making any further goalkeeping moves.

"I can't do anything about speculation," Koeman said. "We are not doing anything about that at the moment.

"I am happy with (my) two goalkeepers."

One of his 'keepers is Netherlands international Maarten Stekelenburg and Koeman was full of praise for the Dutchman's response to criticism back at home.

Stekelenburg returned to Premier League action in style last weekend when he saved two penalties in the club's 1-1 draw with City at the Etihad Stadium.

The 34-year-old had come under fire earlier in the week after letting a long-range shot from Paul Pogba past him when the Netherlands were beaten 1-0 by France in their World Cup European Qualifier in Amsterdam.

"He had some criticism in Holland, okay, but he turned around the situation," Koeman added ahead of his side's trip to Burnley on Saturday.

"It's not normal to save two penalties in the same game. What he showed last weekend was fantastic.

"In football the position of goalkeeper can change very fast. He's confident and working hard. It's important to have a good goalkeeper winning points for your team."
