WELCOME TO SANDPOINT HIGH SCHOOL

Message from the Principal:

June 2024

Dear Bulldog Students, Families, and Friends,

As we approach the final stretch of the school year, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on our journey share some updates from SHS. Our seniors are gearing up for memorable milestones such as prom, graduation, and the future ahead. Meanwhile, our underclassmen are finishing testing, projects, and speeches as the lure of summer looms.

I am delighted to announce the outstanding achievements of our SHS Track and Tennis teams at the recent state championships in Boise. We are incredibly proud of Ivy Smith for securing a first-place finish in shot put breaking the STATE record at 44-1. Klein Fragoso took home the 4A Pole Vault Title for 4A. Our Girls Tennis Team took home the 4A Championship with Pepper Rickert as the 4A State Champ, and the Boys Tennis Team clinched first place for 4A Academic Achievement. The dedication and sportsmanship displayed by our student-athletes continue to inspire us all. On the arts front, our band concerts and art displays have been a resounding success, and we're eagerly anticipating next week’s Spring Fling Choir Concert and Friday's drama Oscars. These events showcase the remarkable talent and creativity of our students, and I encourage everyone to come out and show their support.

If your student will be returning to SHS next year, please ensure that you have completed the enrollment verification process by June 1st. This ensures that your student's spot at SHS is secured, and their schedule will be ready for them when they return in the fall. We're excited about the upcoming 2024-2025 school year and look forward to welcoming both returning and new students.

To the families of our graduating seniors, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support throughout this unique high school experience. From navigating the challenges of distance learning to adapting to new schedules, your resilience and dedication have been truly commendable. As our seniors embark on the next chapter of their lives, their senior class motto by Ralph Waldo Emerson,  “What lies behind us, and what lies before us, are small matters compared to what lies within us.” is the perfect reminder for their perseverance, growth, and grit as a collective body of students.

Thank you for your confidence in Sandpoint High School and for the opportunity to provide our students with rigorous, supportive and challenging educations which, we believe, will prepare them for the challenges of whatever they decide to pursue after graduation. Please always feel free to reach out to me, the SHS administrative team, counselors, and teachers if you have questions or input.

Sincerely,

Principal Jacki Crossingham
